Johnny Mac is a native son of Meridian, born at Anderson Hospital. A graduate of Meridian High School, Bell spent all of his formative years in the Meridian Public School District. He has been one of the area's top mobile DJ’s for sixteen years, and a radio announcer for almost four. Johnny was a baseball catcher in high school; a torn ACL during a Cincinnati Reds tryout camp dashed his aspirations of playing professional baseball.
These days Bell spends a lot of time with his family and collects anything connected to his favorite NFL football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
